The British Columbia Grassroots rugby Foundation (BCGRF) is a rugby-centred, community-development,non-profit organization that uses rugby as a tool for developing essential skills such as discipline, teamwork, accountability, among many other skills for youths from all ages and backgrounds.
The community rugby program relies on strong relationships with local rugby clubs, community groups, schools, and municipalities to ensure that youth in priority neighbourhoods have opportunities to participate in safe touch rugby over the spring and summer months.
BCGRF works to provide opportunities for youth & children from all ethnic backgrounds, low-income families, indigenous communities, immigrants, person’s with disabilities and vulnerable youth to participate in pro-social development through organized sport.

Vikes Women’s Rugby and BC Grassroots Rugby Foundation are excited to partner together and bring you the Vancouver Island Girls’ Rugby Academy - Summer Session. The academy will combine on-field rugby skills, functional movement skills, speed, and conditioning to help local female athletes prepare for the upcoming season, representative rugby and university rugby. Join coaches from BC Grassroots Rugby Foundation for this fun introduction to rugby. Each day will consist of skill-building, movement development, fun games, and scrimmage play. Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in Canada and is a great way for kids to develop confidence, discipline, and fitness. The camp will be non-contact and registration fee includes a t-shirt.
Sessions are Monday-Friday 9am-12pm
