Established in 1976 the story begins with a bunch of guys sitting and drinking some beers trying to think of a great rugby name. There were gnats flying around seemingly indifferent about being swatted at. One of the guys called out $@^*^# gnats as a result of their relentlessness. A light bulb turned on. The rest is history.
